Nursing Services
My name is Megan Glick and I am the School Nurse Consultant at Sierra Middle School. I received a BA in psychology and a minor in biology from Kalamazoo College and a Masters degree in the Science of Nursing from Depaul University. Prior to becoming a school Nurse I worked in a level 1 Trauma Emergency Department in Denver as well as Labor and Delivery. I have loved the transition to school nursing and am excited and proud to be part of the amazing Sierra Middle School family. School Nursing is a specialized practice of nursing that protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School Nurse Consultants bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to provide support that allows students and communities to develop to their fullest potential (National Association of School Nurses, 2017). School Nurse Consultants also provide direct services as needed by training and delegating to personnel working with students identified as having complex medical needs and response to an emergency.
