Activities & Clubs
At Sierra Middle School, we offer a number of different activities for students to participate in before and after school to extend their middle school experience.
Note: Participation in an activity may include a fee up to $60.00 for each club/activity per semester.
Description: National Junior Honors Society, or NJHS is a society in which both 7th and 8th grade students can be inducted after completing an application process. To be inducted, you must maintain a 3.5 GPA, as well as be a leader in and around your community.
Meeting day of the week: Tuesday (once a month, more during activities)

Description: Kids are responsible for bringing their own game supplies (characters, dice, game texts). Open to all ability levels, all games are student organized and run.

Description: Poms is a cheer/dance combo team that supports the 8th grade boys basketball team. We cheer during the game and perform a dance during halftime. No experience is needed to join but attending practice and games is required to get down the dances and cheers. Go Eagles!

Description: This year-long club will focus on different crafts throughout the year! Crafts we will focus on include diamond painting, loom knitting, paint by number, and jewelry making! We will be focusing on a different craft every quarter. No previous experience is necessary to join this club. Students will have a choice of what they craft as long as they have already been taught how to do the craft. Parents: In order for your child to participate, your child will need to register for this club on my school bucks. If your child is not registered in My School Bucks, they will be asked to arrange to be picked up and wait outside of the school building. An optional snack donation is appreciated. (peanut-free)

Description: Student Council Club allows students to continue the work of the Student Council class by bettering parts of our school. The primary focus of this club is to brainstorm, create and promote school wide Student Council events.
