Activities & Clubs

At Sierra Middle School, we offer a number of different activities for students to participate in before and after school to extend their middle school experience.  

Note: Participation in an activity may include a fee up to $60.00 for each club/activity per semester.

Name of Club: Soccer Club

Description:Futsal (indoor soccer) Co-ed:  Come play the beautiful game of Soccer.   Futsal, AKA gym floor soccer, is a fast-paced game of soccer played in the gym with a slightly smaller, heavier ball.  Get better at quick game play, improve your touch on the ball, and faster decision making!  Scrimmages only and co-ed! 

Meeting day of the week:

Wednesdays in February & March 2026 (Last Meeting on Tuesday, 4/7)

Meeting time: 2:50-3:50

Location: Small Gym...outside when the weather permits

Cost: $45.00

Requirements: Gym shoes, a water bottle, and a good attitude!

Name of Club: Bracelet Making Club

Description: Students will enjoy bringing their own supplies to make different bracelets while watching a movie in the classroom, helping to strengthen friendships.  If you don't have your own supplies, you can use items from the extra materials

Name of Club: Dungeons and Dragons Club

Description: This club allows students to dive into the world of Dungeons and Dragons.  There is no charge for this club; however, peanut-free snack donation is greatly appreciated.

Description: A place where students can watch anime, discuss themes and genes.  This club provides a safe and social space for students to connect with peers who share similar interests and to learn more about the diverse art forms and culture behind them.

Name of Club: Jazz Band

Description: Students who are interested in learning and performing jazz music. All styles of jazz will be explored through weekly rehearsals and quarterly performances. Open to any student who play woodwinds, brass, drum set, guitar, bass, and piano

Description : The goal of Movie Club is to build meaningful connections and conversations around the stories we watch in movies.  We want students to reflect, relate, and grow through shared movie experiences.

Description:  National Junior Honors Society, or NJHS is a society in which both 7th and 8th grade students can be inducted after completing an application process. To be inducted, you must maintain a 3.5 GPA, as well as be a leader in and around your community.

Meeting day of the week:  Tuesday (once a month, more during activities)
Meeting Time:  2:45-3:45 PM
Location:  Library
Cost:  $30, once inducted (one time payment)

Description:  This year-long club will focus on different crafts throughout the year! Crafts we will focus on include diamond painting, loom knitting, paint by number, and jewelry making!  We will be focusing on a different craft every quarter.  No previous experience is necessary to join this club.  Students will have a choice of what they craft as long as they have already been taught how to do the craft.    Parents: In order for your child to participate, your child will need to register for this club on my school bucks.  If your child is not registered in My School Bucks, they will be asked to arrange to be picked up and wait outside of the school building. An optional snack donation is appreciated. (peanut-free)
